Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

Arrests

On May 29, James McDuff, 51, of Edgecomb was arrested for Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon, on Boothbay Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Kenneth Hatch, who was assisted by Sgt. Jason Nein.

On May 31, Michele L. Wager, 45, of Newcastle was arrested for Attaching False Plates, on Birch Point Road, Wiscasset, by Deputy Todd Chilton.

Traffic Citations

On May 27, Kevin Carver, 16, of West Boothbay Harbor – Failing to use seat belt – Corey Lane, Boothbay – Det. Scott Hayden.

On May 28, William Workman, 23, of Newcastle – Speeding 49 mph in a posted 30 mph speed zone – Mills Road, Newcastle – Dep. Matthew Day.

On June 1, Dylan Mitchell, 21, of Woolwich – Failing to use seat belt – Country Club Road, Boothbay – Sgt. Jason Nein; Stanley Barter, 53, of Boothbay – Failing to use seat belt – Barters Island Road, Boothbay – Sgt. Jason Nein; Kristopher Peters, 36, of Boothbay Harbor – Failing to use seat belt – Route 27, Edgecomb – Sgt. Jason Nein.

On June 2, Richard Hopper, 50, of Westport Island – Speeding 64 mph in a posted 55 mph speed zone – Route 1, Edgecomb – Dep. Richard WoodwaRoad

Accident

On May 31, an accident occurred on West Alna Road in Alna involving Gregory S. Grotton, 63, of Union and Kevin F. Morris, 49, of Woolwich. Grotton, who was operating his 2011 Subaru Outback, was turning left into a driveway and Morris, who was operating his 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, was attempting to pass Grotton and the two vehicles collided. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
