Sheriff's report
Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On August 2, Reserve Deputy Richard Woodward was dispatched to a criminal mischief to a motor vehicle complaint in the Boothbay area. The complainant stated that the previous day, he had parked his truck on a dirt extension and upon returning to his vehicle, he discovered all the valve stems had been removed from the tires, causing them to go flat. He also found his keys that were in his ignition were missing. Further investigation if leads develop.
Arrests
On July 31, Nicholas Dunlop, 28, of Dresden was arrested for operating without a license (x2) and attaching false plates, on Carriage Court, Dresden, by Deputy Todd Chilton.
On August 1, Noah D. Harris, 20, of Boothbay was arrested for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, on Merry Lane, Boothbay, by Det. Sgt. Ronald Rollins.
On August 5, Tina G. Howard, 50, of Wiscasset was arrested on two warrants out of Bath Superior Court and Cumberland County District Court for failure to appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy James Read.
Accidents
On July 31, an accident occurred on Main Street in Wiscasset involving Carl W. Harder, 70, of Labelle, Fla., and Sheri K. Stevens, 65, of Belfast. Harder was operating his 2005 Coach bus northbound when he struck Steven’s 2003 Honda Element, which was stopped in traffic, also heading northbound. Reserve Deputy Richard Woodward was the investigating officer.
On August 1, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Michael A. Andretta, 22, of Wiscasset and Frederick O. Fahlsing, 69, of West Gardiner. Fahlsing, who was operating his 2009 Subaru Forester, was stopped eastbound in traffic, waiting to make a left turn. Andretta was also traveling eastbound in his 2003 Buick Century when he failed to stop in time and struck Fahlsing’s vehicle in the rear. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On August 1, an accident occurred on Route 27 in Boothbay involving Dennis Morgan, 65, of Auburn. Morgan was operating his 2006 Harley Davidson XL 120 motorcycle when he did not stop early enough and lost control, causing the motorcycle to go down and throwing the passenger and him off of the bike. Reserve Deputy Richard Woodward was the investigating officer.
On August 5, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Tatjana Luksic, 66, of Jefferson. Luksic was operating her 2005 Chevrolet Equinox northbound when she had some sort of medical episode and possibly blacked out. As a result, her vehicle crossed over the southbound lane, struck the guardrail and traveled down over the embankment into numerous trees. Deputy Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
