Sheriff’s report
On August 6, Deputy Chad Gilbert responded to a report of criminal mischief to mailboxes in the Whitefield area. One complainant stated she noticed her mailbox was knocked off its post and as Deputy Gilbert rode around the area and noticed two other mailboxes were pulled out of the ground.
On August 8, Reserve Deputy Neil Genthner was dispatched to Nobleboro on a report of stolen firewood, valued at approximately $200.
On August 11, Reserve Deputy Neil Genthner was dispatched to a report of a stolen iPhone 4 in the Bristol area.

August 8: Deputy Aaron Beck issued a summons to a 16-year-old male from Damariscotta for Illegal Possession of Schedule X Drug and Illegal Transportation of Drugs.
August 10: Deputy Beck issued a summons to Thomas A. True, 19, Wiscasset, for Minor Consuming Liquor.

August 6: Deputy Kenneth Hatch arrested Chassedy F. Foster, 31, Bristol, on a Rockland District Court warrant for Failure to Pay Fines.
August 8: Transport Deputy James Read arrested Robert E. Sykes, 39, Waldoboro, on a Wiscasset District Court warrant for Failure to Appear.
August 8: Reserve Deputy Richard Woodward arrested Jason R. Schlander, 31, Bristol, for Operating Under the Influence.
August 8: detective Scott Hayden arrested Daniel N. Reusch, Jr., 18, Richmond, for Visual Sexual Aggression Against a Child.
August 10: Deputy Aaron Beck arrested Mason G. Bennett-Nein, 22, Westport Island, for Operating Under the Influence.
August 11: Detective Scott Hayden and Sgt. Brendan Kane arrested Jeremy R. Gardner, 52, Wiscasset, for Domestic Violence Assault.
Accidents
On August 6, an accident occurred on Route 194 in Newcastle involving Cameron M. Creamer, 20, Alna and Kevin J. Richards, 52, Lewiston. Richards, who was operating his 1986 Mack Sprayer truck, was stopped in the roadway waiting to turn left onto Holstein Lane and Creamer, who was operating his 2007 Chevrolet pickup failed to slow down and struck the rear of Richards’ truck. Reserve Deputy Richard Woodward was the investigating officer.
On August 6, an accident occurred on River Road in Newcastle involving Adam G. Pinkham, 30, of Boothbay. Pinkham was operating his 1995 GMC 1500 pickup when he fell asleep and drifted into the northbound ditch and struck a telephone pole. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On August 7, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Kevin D. Rogers, 39, Edgecomb. Rogers was operating his 1997 Kawasaki ZX6R motorcycle southbound when he began to adjust his idle on the motorcycle and looked down. When he looked back up, he was in the soft shoulder off the roadway and was unable to control his motorcycle and rolled it onto its side, just off the roadway on the grassy shoulder. Deputy Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On August 13, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Eugene G. Ardito, 54, Portland, and Roslynn M. Landry, 52, Hollis. Landry was stopped in traffic in her 2000 Nissan Sentra, heading southbound. Ardito was traveling behind Landry in his 2007 Toyota Avalon and did not stop in time and struck the rear of Landry’s vehicle. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On August 9, an accident occurred on Cape Newagen Road in Southport involving Paul D. Golden, 41, Waldoboro. Golden was operating his 2010 Ford F150 pickup eastbound and he travelled too far to the right and went off the roadway, causing damage to the passenger tire, wheel and the front bumper. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On August, 09, an accident occurred on Benner Road in Bristol involving Melissa L. Simmons, 49, Bremen and Martin E. Leeman, 43, Bristol. Simmons was traveling westbound in her 2005 Dodge Durango and was rounding a sharp corner. Leeman was traveling eastbound in his 2001 Dodge and was rounding the same corner.; Both vehicles collided as the roadway was narrow. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On August, 10, an accident occurred on Bristol Road involving Bristol residents, Joan Grant, 73, Lawrence B. Sidelinger, 52. Grant, was operating her 1990 Subaru Legacy, which was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Lower Round Pond Road and State Route 130. She started to turn left onto Route 130 and pulled in front of Sidelinger’s 1993 Plymouth Acclaim. Reserve Deputy Neil Genthner was the investigating officer.
On August, 10, an accident occurred on Route 1 Edgecomb involving Linda M. Roberts, 64, Agawam, Mass. She was operating her 2003 Toyota Tundra pickup truck southbound and was lost. While searching, she left the roadway and traveled out through a grove of trees. Sgt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On August, 11, an accident occurred on Grand Army Road in Whitefield involving Emily E. Hebert, 21, Windham. Hebert was operating her 2001 Nissan Sentra northbound and was approaching a sharp corner. Due to speed and the sun blinding her, she lost control and traveled across the centerline, where she then went off the left side of the roadway and struck a brick building. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On August, 12, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving John S. Leonard, 59, Pownal. He was operating his 2013 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck southbound when he stated he fell asleep and woke up to see his truck coming back onto the roadway from the right shoulder. The truck went off the road, struck a culvert and dirt while off the road damaging the front bumper and passenger’s side panels. Reserve Deputy Mark Doe was the investigating officer.
