Sheriff’s report
On September 3, Deputy Mark Bridgham took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle in the teacher’s parking lot of Lincoln Academy. The complainant stated that when she attempted to leave, she noticed her front tire was flat. Upon changing of the tire, it was noticed that the tire had been slashed. Case suspended pending further leads.
On September 4, Deputy Mark Bridgham took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle in the Lincoln Academy student parking lot. The complainant stated sometime during the day, someone put a deep scratch in her vehicle. Case suspended pending further leads.
On September 5, Deputy Chad Gilbert was dispatched to a report of criminal mischief to an oil tank in the Newcastle area. The complainant stated that sometime over the past three days, someone drilled a hole in her oil tank. Further investigation as leads develop.
Arrests
On September 6, Tara L. Curtis, 22, of Boothbay was arrested for violating condition of release, on Eastern Avenue, Boothbay Harbor, by Deputy Brian Collamore.
On September 8, Pamela L. McCoy, 27, of Dresden was arrested for domestic violence assault and on an outstanding Biddeford Police warrant for failure to appear on a previous assault charge, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Reserve Deputy Richard Woodward.
Accidents
On September 4, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Boothbay involving George F. Sefcik, 67, of Edgecomb; Gregory W. Sprague, 36, of Edgecomb and Melvin R. Shahan, 74, of Boothbay. Sefcik was operating his 1998 Chevrolet southbound on Route 27. Sprague’s 2012 American Motors D1500 was parked at the Four Season Towing parking lot and Shahan was operating his 1998 Chrysler Sebring northbound on Route 27. Sefcik turned left in front of Shahan’s vehicle and struck it, causing Shahan’s vehicle to go off the road and strike Sprague’s parked vehicle. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On September 8, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Estelle T. Appel, 79, of Boothbay. Appel avoided colliding with a vehicle in front of her, due to a sudden stop, by going off the roadway in her 2010 Toyota RAV4. Reserve Deputy Richard Woodward was the investigating officer.
