In the local elections, Southport selected Republican Les Fossel over Democrat Chris Johnson in the State Senator District 20 race by 238 to 178.
In the District 61 representative to the legislature race, Southport picked Republican Stephanie Hawke over Democrat Bruce MacDonald by 225 to 205.
In Question 1 to grant marriage licenses to same-sex couples Southport voted in favor 245 to 178.
