Springtide to perform May 2 at Merry Barn
Gifted singer-songwriters Elsie Gawler and Ethan Tischler return to the Merry Barn on Thursday, May 2. Joined by Willy Clemetson, they are the trio Springtide. With Gawler playing cello, Tischler on guitar, and Clemetson on fiddle, the band combines a love of high-energy traditional Celtic and Scandinavian fiddle music, heartfelt original tunes and songs, and spacious creative improvisation.
"We aim to lift audiences with the music of the landscapes we come from, drawing inspiration from the tidal rhythms and creative energies of the coastal land we call home,” Tischler says.
In a beautiful turn-of-the-century barn, with a listening room vibe, songwriters and musicians find community, connection, and a place to explore their craft. Audiences of all ages are welcome to experience the beauty and power of story and song in an intimate setting spanning genres across indie, folk, rock, blues and multicultural music.
Tickets for all shows available at merrybarn.com or at the door. Adults $20; kids 12 and under $10. Contact stephaniemcsherry@merrybarn.com for more information.
