Wiscasset announced the following on its textmygov service Monday morning: “It is with profound sadness that Town Manager Dennis Simmons announces the sudden and unexpected death of Code Enforcement Officer Bruce Engert. Out of respect for Bruce and to allow town office staff a chance to process this unexpected event, the town office will be closed today.”
