Staying warm at Story Time
Since staying warm and cozy is on everyone’s mind these past days, the children at the Wiscasset Public Library’s Story Hour enjoyed three stories relating to that topic.
“The Very Best Bed” by Rebekah Raye follows a squirrel’s quest for the perfect place to sleep in the woods.
“Sleepy Places” by Judy Hindley is a fun rhyming book that describes cozy places for people to catch some zzz’s; and “When Sheep Sleep” by Laura Numeroff puts a twist on when you need to count sheep in order to fall asleep, imagines what the sheep and other animals do to fall asleep.
Before anyone had a chance to nod off, we used two pieces of brightly colored felt with the edges trimmed to tie instead of sew a fluffy, cozy pillow to bring home.
The part that was enjoyed the most by the children was stuffing the pillows with fluff!
