Student vocal lessons resume with Beth Preston
Beth Preston will soon be restarting in-person student vocal lessons in Heartwood Theater’s studio, at 18 Biscay Road in Damariscotta, as one element in Heartwood’s annual cycle of education and performance opportunities for Midcoast youths.
For well more than 20 years, veteran teachers/directors Preston and Heartwood AD Griff Braley have merged their skills with countless student and adult casts (Preston in singing, Braley in acting) delivering quality musical theater productions to the Midcoast.
Preston’s vocal training with students provides individual skill building and confidence, while preparing students to perform in upcoming Heartwood youth productions.
Braley notes, “Beth has been an integral part of Heartwood’s successful musicals for the past 19 years, while providing individual and group training for students and adults on stage. I have the highest regard for her expertise as a vocal instructor and for the warm, professional way she manages students, as they undertake challenging musical roles and develop their skills and confidence. Beth continues to be an asset to this community and to the students involved in Heartwood youth programming. We’re delighted to continue partnering with Beth, in this capacity.”
Two six-week sessions are scheduled, offering 45-minute in-person lessons (online, by request): Feb. 6 to March 20 and April 3 to May 15. Questions may be directed to info@heartwoodtheater.org or 563-1373.
