‘Summer is Here’ exhibit opens at Ocean Point Studio/Visions of Maine
Plein air painter Corinne McIntyre will feature and exhibit her most recent landscape and seascape paintings of the surrounding area in the new show, “Summer is Here.” A special open house will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 4.
“This painting was done at Murray Hill Landing on Linekin Bay, a great place to paint. I have painted this boat many many times,” McIntyre said. “It is a very special boat because I have painted it for about 15 years in all kinds of weather and at different times of the day. It is always moored. I have never seen anyone on it. I like to think it is a mystery to solve. Who owns it? Why is it always there? Why do I never see anyone on it? I think I shall find out one day.”
The gallery also features Fred McIntyre's beautiful hand-carved pottery. Each work is unique and shows his special creativity. His work captures the colors, ruggedness and natural beauty of Maine and the Ocean Point area.
