“The Revenant,” inspired by true events, is a visceral cinematic experience capturing one man's epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit.
In an expedition of the uncharted American wilderness in 1823, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. In a quest to survive, Glass endures unimaginable grief, and betrayal by his confidant John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy).
Guided by sheer will and the love of his family, Glass must navigate a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption.
Academy Award winning director Alejandro G. Iñárritu (“Birdman”), directed and co-wrote “The Revenant.” The film plays Wednesday, Feb. 24 and Thursday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m.
"Hail, Caesar!" is an all-star comedy set during the latter years of Hollywood's Golden Age. Written and directed by four-time Oscar winning filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen, it stars Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Alden Ehrenreich, Ralph Fiennes, Jonah Hill, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton and Channing Tatum.
"Hail, Caesar!" follows a single day in the life of a studio “fixer” who is presented with plenty of problems to fix: placating a disgruntled director, a singing cowboy, a beautiful swimmer, and a handsome dancer. As if all this isn't enough, he faces his biggest challenge when superstar Baird Whitlock (Clooney) gets kidnapped while in costume for the swords-and-sandals epic, “Hail, Caesar!”
Reviewer Christopher Orr of The Atlantic says the film is “An unexpectedly sweet and utterly satisfying confection, a loving send up of the Hollywood of yesteryear.”
“Hail, Caesar!” PG13, plays Friday, Feb. 26, Saturday, Feb. 27, Wednesday, March 2 and Thursday, March 3 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m.
