Thank you
Before I step out into traffic today with my weekly adventure, I'd like to comment about an evolving situation in our community.
For many many years I have visited our local business establishments with little or no concern and increasing recognition. Recently it occurred to me that I look like many people and am unrecognizable.
My mask is very nice, handmade, pastel pink with an attractive paisley pattern. I have orange tinted aviator style sunglasses, and many ball caps, which I tend to rotate out as the oils from my bald head accumulate. I realized that I look like I am well equipped to rob one of our local shops. Grover's Hardware comes to mind. Nobody knows who I am.
Clerks look at me with an odd stare from squinted eyes that seem to question my place or origin.
I have decided to wear a name tag that says, “ Hi, I'm Bob.” I will report back at a later date to share the results of my effort. Please be patient as I don't get out much these days.
On another note. I know today's photograph was made on private property, but it was made with a long lens and socially distanced. The scene was such an irresistible (to me) subject. A subject I know that is very familiar to all of us who inhabit our splendid region and one I am often drawn to.
I apologize to the property owners for my lack of restraint, but compliment their unintentionally pleasing assortment of color and design. Thank you for providing an appealing visual. May the bugs be with you.
