"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” Johnny Depp returns to the big screen as the iconic, swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow. Deadly ghost sailors escape from the Devil's Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea- Jack’s only hope of survival lies in finding the legendary “Trident of Poseidon”, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, & a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy.

Captain Jack seeks to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune and save his life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has ever faced. In addition to Depp, "Pirates" stars Javier Bardem, Brenton Thwaites, Kaya Scodelario, Kevin McNally and Geoffrey Rush.

"Pirates of the Caribbean- Dead Men Tell No Tales, PG13, has a running time of 135 minutes. It plays nightly Wednesday, May 30 through Thursday, June 8 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 4 at 2 and 7 p.m.

“A Quiet Passion”- Cynthia Nixon delivers a triumphant performance as Emily Dickinson as she personifies the wit, intellectual independence and pathos of the poet whose genius only came to be recognized after her death. Acclaimed British director Terence Davies exquisitely evokes Dickinson's deep attachment to her close-knit family along with the manners, mores and spiritual convictions of her time that she struggled with and transcended in her poetry. Talking Art in Maine -Jesse Salisbury and Kazumi Hoshino, husband and wife sculptors. Influenced by Japanese stone splitting and carving techniques, Salisbury hand-splits and then reassembles the granite to bring out the stone's inherent movement, raw power, and natural beauty. Hoshino lives close to nature; her sculpture is carved from local granite with a focus on intimate shapes. Free event. Thursday, June 1 at 7 p.m.

“The Lost City of Z”- Based on author David Grann's nonfiction bestseller, "The Lost City of Z" tells the incredible true story of British explorer Percy Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam), who journeys into the Amazon at the dawn of the 20th century and discovers evidence of a previously unknown, advanced civilization that may have once inhabited the region. Despite being ridiculed by the scientific establishment who regard indigenous populations as "savages," the determined Fawcett - supported by his devoted wife (Sienna Miller), son (Tom Holland) and aide-de-camp (Robert Pattinson) - returns time and again to his beloved jungle in an attempt to prove his case, culminating in his mysterious disappearance in 1925.

An epic scale tale of courage and passion, told in writer/director James Gray's classic filmmaking style, "The Lost City of Z" is a stirring tribute to the exploratory spirit and a conflicted adventurer driven to the verge of obsession. Stories to Screen: Kid Power: Tom Sawyer (1973) - Tom Sawyer and his pal Huckleberry Finn have great adventures on the Mississippi River, pretending to be pirates, attending their own funeral, and witnessing a murder. Starring Johnny Whitaker and Jodie Foster. Saturday, June 3 at 10 a.m. Free event. A few copies of the book are still available for pick up at the theater.

NT Live: “Obsession” - Jude Law stars in this new stage adaptation of Luchino Visconti’s 1943 film captured live from the Barbican Theatre in London. Gino, a drifter, down-at-heel and magnetically handsome. At a road side restaurant he encounters husband and wife, Giuseppe and Giovanna. Irresistibly attracted to each other, Gino and Giovanna begin a fiery affair and plot to murder her husband.
