Third annual Farm and Fish Fair Sunday at Morris Farm
Come on over to the Morris Farm and meet the farmers/fishermen who bring products to your favorite farmers’ market and store this Sunday, April 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. The third annual Farm and Fish Fair is open to the public and free to attend. You can learn more about local products, Community Support Agriculture/Fishery (CSA/CSF) programs, and how farmers/fishermen prepare for the season ahead. There will be light snacks, refreshments, and live music brought to you by Portland based acoustic band, Rough Sawn.
Purchasing CSA and CSF shares help local producers harvest the freshest and highest quality product for their subscribers and community by helping with a season's initial investments and giving producers an ease of mind. Local producers such as Wandering Root Farm, Tarbox Farm, Albee Farm, Hamilton Farm - Barred Owl Creamery, Copper Tail Farm, Sheepscot General Farm, Port Clyde Fresh Catch, Bud and Linda Bailey’s Honey, and Tender Soles Farm will be in attendance. Some vendors will have tastings, showcase their knitted goods, and offer their products and CSA/CSF shares for purchase on the day of the event. Purchases can be made through cash or check.
If you have an agriculture/aquaculture business and would like to be a part of this fair or have questions about the fair contact Marvin Tala at VISTA@morrisfarm.org.
