Three car collision on Route 27
The morning commute was disrupted in Edgecomb when a Chrysler Sebring collided with a pickup truck at 8:03 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
George Sefcik, 67 of Edgecomb, was driving southbound in a Chevrolet pickup on Route 27 and turned to enter the driveway of 4 Seasons Automotive repair, but failed to see Melvin Shahan 74, of Trevett traveling northbound in a Chrysler Sebring.
The two vehicles struck, causing Sefcik to swerve his car off the road, slamming into the front bumper of a parked Dodge pickup truck belonging to the auto repair shop.
All three vehicles sustained damage. Sefcik was transported to St. Andrews Hospital in Boothbay Harbor for minor injuries.
Deputy Chad Gilbert of Lincoln County Sheriff's Office responded to the accident.
