Federal Street from Warren Street to the Wiscasset Elementary School parking lot will be blocked from traffic during Nightmare on Federal Street, Wiscasset's big Halloween event, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.Wednesday, Oct. 31, Wiscasset Parks and Recreation has announced.

Traffic will have detour access from Route 218 to Hooper Street and from Main Street to Warren Street during the celebration that includes a parade, block party and costume contest.
