Ukulele for beginners
Come join the fun of making music with your ukulele. Central Lincoln County Adult Education is offering a six-week Ukulele for Beginners course taught by Heather Hardy beginning Monday, Nov. 2, at Great Salt Bay School in Damariscotta from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The ability to read music is not required to have fun playing the ukulele. In these beginning sessions you will learn how to form basic chords, strum a tune and sing along to songs you know well. A love of fun is the only requirement needed to learn to play.
Hardy is a singer-songwriter living in Bristol. She gives beginning guitar, ukulele and songwriting lessons. She and her husband were the organizers of the open mic music night at Round Top farm house.
The cost of the course is $64. To register or for more information call CLC Adult Education at 207-563-2811, email clcae@aos93.org, visit our website at www.clc.maineadulted.org, or stop by the office in the Pine Grove Plaza (at the intersection of Route 1 and Business Route 1 in Damariscotta).
