Upcoming classes at Adult Ed
Fall classes at Boothbay Region Adult Ed begin during the week of Oct. 12. Are you always searching for files on your computer? Did you know your computer can slow down when files and photos accumulate? On Thursday, Oct. 15, take Organize Your Computer to get control of your files and folders. This one evening workshop is from 6-8 p.m., and the fee is $14.
Are you interested in local history? Jim Hunt, maritime historian, will be giving a talk, Of Wooden Ships and Ironmen, on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Learn about the 44 commissioned naval vessels - all built of wood - that were constructed in the Boothbay region during World War II. He will talk about life in town during the War, and see some pictures of the town from that era. Included will be a few stories about these small ships as they sailed the oceans of the world. The time is 6:30-8 p.m., and the fee is $10.
Do you have an Android tablet or a smart phone? If so you'll want to take Tablets and Smart Phones to become more knowledgeable and proficient using it. This two session class take you through the basic settings, connecting to the Internet and setting up email. Learn to download, install or remove apps, and keep it up to date. Bring your tablet or smart phone to class. The class is on Oct. 19 and 21 from 6-8 p.m., and the fee is $28.
To register for Adult Ed courses complete the registration form in the brochure, or print one from our website boothbayae.org. Include payment and mail to the address on the form.
