Veggies To Table seeks a variety of volunteers
Veggies to Table, a grow-to-donate farm in Newcastle, is looking for volunteers! Autumn is here, and there is still so much to do on the farm - harvesting as much bounty to share with our community as possible, putting beds to sleep for winter, and dividing dahlias. If you’ve been interested in volunteering before, or maybe are thinking about it for the first time ever, Veggies to Table would love to have you.
Volunteer shifts can range from working in the soil, cutting flowers, harvesting crops and mulching beds. We also need drivers to pick things up and run errands. And if working the soil is not your thing we need writers, editors and fundraisers to help keep Veggies to Table funded. Whatever your skill set is, as long as you come with an open mind and an eagerness to participate, we’re thrilled to have you! For more information about how to sign up, visit https://www.veggiestotable.org/volunteer or email us at info@veggiestotable.org
We are hiring! Veggies to Table is looking for an experienced and passionate full time farm manager to lead the farm crew for the 2025 season. Come join the team and help grow more food more efficiently to feed more community members living with hunger! Veggies to Table is also hiring a flower farmer and a farm crew member. All job postings can be found at https://www.veggiestotable.org/workwithus
Another way to contribute to Veggies to Table is by taking one of the classes on offer, which encourage diverse learning experiences while raising money to support growing more food for those in need. On October 19th, Veggies to Table co-founder Alain Ollier, French native and proficient baker of all that is sweet and sinful, will be your instructor in the art of making the iconic French macaron. Come learn how to perfectly make this famous French delicacy. And of course, there will be tasting along the way. This event is hosted at the Maine Tasting Center in Wiscasset.
