Veggies to Table spring flower pop ups
Veggies to Table, a grow-to-donate farm located in Newcastle, is kicking off their growing season with flower pop ups at the Alna Store, Village Handcraft, and Perch Cafe & Bakery. At each event, they will be selling spring flowers and Veggies to Table merchandise, like hats, aprons, and totes, to raise funds and awareness about hunger in our local communities.
Their first pop up of the season will be at the Alna Store at 2 Dock Road, Alna, on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. If it rains on Saturday, they will be there on Sunday, April 28, same time, instead.
Next, they will be at Village Handcraft at 52 Water Street, Wiscasset on Saturday, May 4 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. This pop up will be held inside the shop, where Veggies to Table will connect with the community and talk about food insecurity in Lincoln County.
Then, on Saturday, May 11 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., they will be at Perch Cafe & Bakery at 11 Friendship Road, Waldoboro. Weather permitting, tulips will be on sale at Perch starting Wednesday, May 8, where you can purchase 12 for $20. Veggies to Table themselves will be there on Saturday selling flowers and Veggies to Table merchandise in person.
Proceeds from flower and merchandise sales will support Veggies to Table in their mission to stem local hunger and bring joy with flowers. All the top-quality, organic produce they grow, along with most of their flowers, are donated to local pantries, schools, summer lunch programs, and hospitals.
