Vote for Ed Thelander
Dear Editor:
Ed Thelander, a former Navy SEAL, is running for Congress representing District One in Maine.
What if, as a gesture in support of the lobster industry and fishermen in general, Ed took to the water during a lobster boat race and swam from boat to boat, for a total of 50 lobster boats.
What if, after Ed’s swimming most of the day, a reporter for a local TV station was on hand to interview candidates.
What if, given Ed’ status as a candidate, the station reporter declined to interview him.
What if local TV stations actually cared about giving publicity to every candidate.
Ed is a decorated combat veteran with 21 years of experience as a Navy SEAL. He participated in U.S. operations in Afghanistan, Kosovo, Central America, Southeast Asia and the Caribbean.
He is respected for his ability to bring feuding sides together, leading highly sensitive negotiations for peaceful resolution to complex disputes.
Now, more than ever, Ed’s strong leadership skills are needed in Washington, D.C.
Ed is ready to serve in Congress and take on the many challenges facing our country today.
Vote for Ed Thelander on Nov. 8. He will fight for us, as he always has, and he will always do what is right.
