Dear Editor: 

Evan Goodkowsky is an independent candidate for District 47, and he has the support of Wiscasset Democrats. He is a native Mainer, a graduate of Wiscasset High School, Southern Maine Community College, and the University of Southern Maine. He is a certified Maine Assessor serving Westport Island, and is a leader in helping plan broadband expansion projects. He wants to see communities throughout Lincoln County grow and prosper. 

Evan is prepared to help with the hard issues facing veterans and fully supports women’s rights, affordable prescriptions and healthcare, affordable housing, and a healthy and clean environment. He is endorsed by the AFL-CIO, Maine People’s Alliance, Maine Education Association, Maine Service Employees Association, Wabanaki Alliance, Sierra Club, Maine Conservation Voters, Maine People’s Alliance, and the National Association of Social Workers Maine. 

I’ve known Evan for three years as a hard worker and straight shooter, and I encourage all Democrats in Wiscasset, Alna, Whitefield, and Jefferson, to vote in this important election on Nov. 8 for an outstanding young professional, Evan Goodkowsky.
