WACC holds 11th annual Awards Dinner
Wiscasset Area Chamber of Commerce 11th Annual Awards Dinner was held Thursday, June 16 at Wiscasset Community Center. Lots of food and frivolity were on the menu! Scott Wilkinson from the office of U.S. Sen. Angus King, I – Maine, was there to give out awards along with the Chamber to the following: Unsung Hero: Datvik Deirkrikorian, owner of Water Lily Flowers & Gifts; Community Impact: Jessica Deshiro, owner of Mammy’s Bakery; Growth and Development; Pepper and Jean Powers, owners of Bath Ale Works; and Lifetime Achievement: Gretchen Burleigh-Johnson, St. Philip’s.
Maine Tasting Center and The Montsweag provided the scrumptious appetizers and Shane McCarthy handled the plentiful bar. Rob Bickford added the musical accompaniment.
Kudos to the masons for their grilling skills, Sarah’s, Mammy’s, and Water Street Kitchen and Bar for a spectacular dinner array and dessert bar. Thanks to Datvik Deirkrikorian and Water Lily Flowers & Gifts for the lovely table arrangements.
Special thanks to Marge Di Vece for managing all the pieces and her culinary contributions, and the annual dinner committee of Susan Robson, Monique McRae, Jean Beattie, Sara Gross and Sheila Sawyer for coordinating everything.
And to our sponsors, Molnlycke, Chewonki, Water Quality & Compliance Services Inc., J. Edward Knight, Market 27, Sheepscot Bay PT, and Chewonki Campground, we are appreciative!
