“To Kill A Mockingbird” -  (1962; 2 hours, 9 minutes) - Lincoln Theater is pleased to present the third film in a new film series – Screen Thoughts, hosted by writer and film reviewer, Christine Merser. Set in the racially divided Deep South during the 1930s, “To Kill a Mockingbird” addresses themes of prejudice, morality, and injustice. The story is narrated through the eyes of Scout Finch, a young girl in a segregated town, as her father, Atticus Finch, a lawyer, defends a black man falsely accused of rape. The film beautifully portrays the innocence and coming-of-age of Scout, while depicting the glaring racial inequalities and the prevailing social prejudices of the time. “To Kill a Mockingbird” gracefully explores the impact of racism and bigotry on individuals and society, promoting empathy, courage, and the power of standing up for what is right. “Exhibition on Screen: John Singer Sargent” - (1 hour, 30 minutes) - Through interviews with curators, contemporary fashionistas and style influencers, Exhibition on Screen’s film will examine how Sargent’s unique practice has influenced modern art, culture and fashion. The Met Live In HD: “La Rondine” - (2 hours, 47 minutes - with 1 intermission) - Puccini’s bittersweet love story returns to cinemas, with soprano Angel Blue starring as the French courtesan Magda, opposite tenor Jonathan Tetelman as Ruggero, an idealistic young man who offers her an alternative to her life of excess. Maestro Speranza Scappucci conducts Nicolas Joël’s Art Deco–inspired staging, which transports audiences from the heart of Parisian nightlife to a dreamy vision of the French Riviera. Soprano Emily Pogorelc and tenor Bekhzod Davronov complete the sterling cast as Lisette and Prunier. Saturday, April 20 at 1 p.m. Tickets: $25 adult, $23 LT member, and $5 youth 18 and under.

LCCT – “Beauty & The Beast” -  (2 hours, 30 minutes – with one 15 minute intermission) - Lincoln County Community Theater presents a tale as old as time. The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. Filled with spectacular costumes, music, and staging, Beauty and the Beast offers a great opportunity to experience theater for audiences of all ages!

Directed by Emily Sue Barker, with choreography by Niall Lessard, Emily Mirabile, and Phaelon O’Donnell.
