"I’m Still Here" - (PG-13; 2 hours, 15 minutes - in Brazilian Portuguese with subtitles) - 2025 Oscar Winner for Best International Film - A mother is forced to reinvent herself when her family's life is shattered by an act of arbitrary violence during the tightening grip of a military dictatorship in Brazil, 1971. Final showtime Thursday, April 3 at 2 p.m.
"Talking Art in Maine" - Free, non-ticketed - Lincoln Theater is thrilled to welcome artist John Moore to the stage for a one-on-one conversation with Talking Art in Maine host, artist Emily Sabino. Talking Art in Maine features notable artists and curators who have made a substantial contribution to the arts in Maine. Moore’s work can be found in public collections nationwide, including The Art Institute of Chicago; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Neuberger Museum, Purchase, NY; The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Philadelphia; The Philadelphia Museum of Art; and The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The conversation, on Thursday, April 3 is at 7 p.m.
"Becoming Led Zeppelin" - (PG-13; 2 hours, 1 minute) - The film traces the journeys of band members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Jon Paul Jones and John Bonham during the music scene of the 1960s to their meeting in the summer of 1968, culminating in 1970. Interviews, performances and never-before-seen footage provide insight into the origins of Led Zeppelin and their meteoric rise to musical stardom. Playing at 2 and 7 p.m. Friday, April 4, Saturday, April 5 and Wednesday, April 9; also Sunday, April 6 at 12:30 p.m. and Thursday, April 10 at 1 and 7 p.m.
"A Devil in the Classroom" - (R; 1 hour, 47 minutes) - Free - From Maine filmmaker, Rod Robilliard, filmed and produced entirely in Maine. A cult-like group of extreme religious folk in a rural New England town come to believe a liberal high school English teacher is working with Satan to steal their children's souls, and they plan on doing something about it. Join Rod as he shares his feature film with the community and members of the cast and crew. Playing April 6 at 5 p.m. This is a free non-ticketed event, open to the public with general admission.
"Guys & Dolls JR" - A Y Arts presentation - Set in New York City, “Guys and Dolls JR” follows gambler, Nathan Detroit, as he tries to find the cash to set up the biggest crap game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck. Meanwhile, his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide, laments that they've been engaged for 14 years without getting married. Nathan turns to fellow gambler, Sky Masterson, for the dough, but Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary, Sarah Brown. “Guys and Dolls JR” takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, but everyone eventually ends up right where they belong. Live on stage atr 5 p.m. Thursday, April 10 and Friday, April 11. Tickets are $10 general admission. Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended for Y Arts performances!
