“Birdman” or “The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance” Michael Keaton stars as Riggan Thomson (Keaton), is producing an ambitious Broadway production that he hopes will breathe new life into his stagnant career. His only real claim to fame heretofore was as a superhero known as “Birdman.” It's risky, but he hopes his creative gamble will prove that he's a real artist and not just a washed-up movie star. Wednesday, Dec. 3 and Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m.
“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, part 1: The worldwide phenomenon of “The Hunger Games” saga continues to set the world on fire. Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage. Philip Seymour Hoffman appears in this, his final performance, as Plutarch Heavensbee. Plays at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, Saturday, Dec. 6, Wednesday, Dec. 10 and Thursday, Dec. 11; and at 2 and 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7.

In “St. Vincent,” a single mother (Melissa McCarthy) moves into a new home in Brooklyn with her 12-year old son. Forced to work long hours, she has no choice but to leave Oliver in the care of their new neighbor, Vincent (Bill Murray), a retired curmudgeon with a penchant for alcohol and gambling.
