The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile came to the Boothbay region over the weekend as part of a Maine trip to collect non-perishable food for Wayside Food Programs in Portland. After making stops around town, "Relishing" Riley and "BBQ" Bridget came to Boothbay Harbor Town Hall Nov. 15 where they passed out weiner whistles and collected donations. A lucky few were even able to hitch a ride to Gardens Aglow at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. The vehicle made several other area appearances over the weekend, including a hot dog-themed trivia night at Pier One Pizza Nov. 16.
