The what’s and when’s of ‘Wings’
Wings Over Wiscasset has its second run on Friday, August 8, and Saturday, August 9 at Wiscasset Municipal Airport. Except for Friday night’s swing dance, at $35 a ticket, admission is free. (Donations will be accepted at the gate.) Here’s a rundown on what’s happening each day. Friday, August 8, day activities:
American Legion pancake breakfast, 8 a.m.
Static displays of warbirds and other aircraft, military vehicles, beginning at 8 a.m.
Fly-in for planes and experimental aircraft, all day
Museum exhibits open at 10 a.m.
Vendors open at 10:30 a.m.
Brunswick Area Modelers, 10:30 a.m. to noon; 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
WWII encampment tours 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Kids music show at noon
Mad Science show 1 p.m.
“Mini air show,” approx. 1:30 p.m.
“Walk and Talks” at warbirds with pilots and veterans, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday, August 8, night event:
Big band swing dance, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Saturday, August 9:
