Laura Whitney and Matt Brewer of Freeport were married on Saturday, July 29 at the First Congregational Church of Wiscasset. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Josh Fitterling and followed by a reception at the Bath Golf Club.

The bride is the daughter of Roger and Beth Whitney of Alna. The groom is the son of Don Brewer and Nancy Stover, both of Wiscasset.

Matt and Laura graduated from Wiscasset High School in 2003. Matt now teaches math at Boothbay Region High School. Laura is now employed at Gray-New Gloucester Middle School where she teaches music and chorus. The couple connected at their 10 year reunion in the summer of 2013.
