The Wiscasset Budget Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Friday at the municipal building to discuss the Wiscasset School Department’s energy project, Town Manager Marian Anderson announced via email Friday afternoon.

The $1.7 million project is the subject of a planned town referendum vote. Part of the process of setting up the vote is getting the budget committee’s recommendation that will appear on the ballot.
