Wiscasset native Mary Rafter has returned to join Wiscasset Family Medicine.

Rafter is a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to help nurture the health of her hometown community. She enjoys working with clients of all ages, especially children. Rafter is deeply intrigued by the developmental and social complexity of family healthcare.

Before joining the Wiscasset Family Medicine team, Rafter worked for several years with Portland Public Health, Portland’s school-based health clinics and True North Health Center in Falmouth.

Prior to earning her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine, Rafter studied social, cultural and medical anthropology at Connecticut College.

When she’s not in the office, you’re likely to find her gardening, sailing or surfing on the coast, skiing in the hills, or taking photographs of everything in between. She is excited to settle in and begin creating patient relationships at Wiscasset Family Medicine.
