The Friends of Wiscasset Library’s Used Book Room is open year round, whenever the library is open. While members of the Friends staff the room several days a week during the summer, opening the door to the lovely patio outside, the room is also always accessible from inside the library. Customers are free to browse for treasures in the beautiful new and newly lighted room downstairs, and pay for their purchases at the circulation desk.

Following a very successful Christmas sale and Christmas shopping event for children in December, we find that we have some really wonderful large or mint condition books we are now featuring on the shelves below the display case in the lobby. Priced at a fraction of their retail price, these books make wonderful gifts, or additions to your collection or coffee table. Prices remain unbelievably low in the Used Book Room ($1 for paperbacks and $2 for hardcover books), so please stop and take a look at our upstairs display, and spend some time in our quiet and cozy Used Book Room as well.

All funds raised by the Friends go to support the library and its many fine programs.
