Wiscasset tradition draws 200
Everyone had a great time at Wiscasset Community Center Friday night, Feb. 11 at our 20th Father-Daughter Dance! We had 129 daughters come with their dads, grandfathers, stepdads, older brothers and family friends. We had about 200 people in attendance including both daughters and dads. Everyone danced the night away to music played by our in-house deejay Cedric Maguire.
The youngest girl in attendance was Hannah Rogers, who is 13 months old, and the oldest was Bridget Harmon, who turned 15 last October. We gave out lots of door prizes to dads and daughters and there were plenty of refreshments for everyone to enjoy.
Attendees also had the opportunity to have professional photographs taken by Dave Cleaveland of Maine Imaging. All of us at the Wiscasset Parks and Rec Department were excited to host the dance again after having to cancel it last year due to COVID restrictions. We are already looking forward to next year!
