Woolwich receives safety grant

The town of Woolwich announced June 21 that it has received a $2,000 Safety Enhancement Grant was from the Maine Municipal Association.
The Maine Municipal Association has been awarding safety grants to members of its Workers' Compensation fund since 1999.
Ed MacDonald, Loss Control Manager for MMA, said the program received 152 applications for this grant period and $153,068 was awarded. Grants are awarded in May and October each year.
