Remember Walter Winchell? A fast-talking, gossip-monger who was notorious and popular in newspapers in the ‘40s. I remember hearing him on the radio, too - and never forgot his stocatto delivery . No messing around, just straight talk from the script to your ear. I’ve been thinking of Winchell because, as I look around Wiscasset, there’s a lot of stuff happening. But I’ll be darned if I'm going to do 300 words on each item. There’s too much. So, here's my best Winchell-impersonation, in print. (Click to listen to the real thing.)
