Mark Creamer is interim communications director of Lincoln County Regional Communications Center while the search continues for the next permanent one, County Administrator Carrie Kipfer announced in an email Tuesday to public safety officials and the media.

"Mark will be familiar to all of you as he is a current dispatch supervisor with many years of experience," Kipfer writes. "We have begun the hiring process to select a permanent replacement for the position." The job posting is open until Tuesday, Sept. 11 and interviews will be scheduled the following week, the email states. "Thanks to everyone for their patience as this process is sometimes slower than I would like. I appreciate the many ways you have shown support during this change," Kipfer writes.

The last director was Joseph Westrich. County commissioners denied his employment appeal Aug. 7 in a motion that upheld the July 25 decision to sever the employment relationship with Westrich, Kipfer has said.
