Owen H. Pinkham
Owen H. Pinkham, 83, of Boothbay, Maine passed away on Oct. 17, 2018 at the Mount St. Joseph Residence and Rehabilitation in Waterville, Maine.
Owen was born in Boothbay Harbor Maine on Oct. 18, 1934 to Elmer G. Pinkham and Ruby (Stover) Pinkham. He attended local schools and graduated from Boothbay Harbor High School in 1952. He attended Maine Technical Institute (now Southern Maine Community College). He worked for many years as a shift supervisor for Central Maine Powers Company at the Mason Station in Wiscasset Maine.
He had many hobbies and interests including woodworking, metal and blacksmith work, antique tractors and cheering on the Boston Red Sox. He was a devoted member of the Boothbay Fire Department, Bay View Masonic Lodge #196, and the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor UCC.
Owen had an incredible sense of humor and people of all ages were drawn to him because he had a story to tell and laughs to share. He extended kindness to all he met and was always ready to lend a hand. Owen was proud of his family, and loved them very much.
Owen is survived by his wife Judith (Adams) Pinkham of Waterville Maine; daughter, Ellen Pinkham of Waterville, Maine; son, Scott Pinkham (Jacqueline Sutherland) Pinkham of Kaiserslautern, Germany; grandchildren, Alexandra, Aidan and Christopher of Kaiserslautern, Germany, Catherine Pinkham Berger (Alexis Berger) of Los Angeles, California, Caleb Pinkham and fiancée (Thais Lage) of Titusville, Florida; brothers, Fred Pinkham (Estella), Leighton Cressey (Lucy), all of Boothbay Harbor; sister-in-law, Gertrude Pinkham of Boothbay Harbor; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Heartfelt gratitude to the staffs who lovingly cared for Owen at Bedside Manor in Oakland, Woodlands Memory Care in Waterville, and Mount St. Joseph Residence and Rehabilitation in Waterville. Special thanks to VNA Hospice angels for their incredible care, dedication, and kindness.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, Oct. 26 from 5-7 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home and Tribute Center, 975 Wiscasset Rd, Boothbay, Maine with a Masonic Service to be held at 6:30 p.m.
A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Owen will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. at the Boothbay Harbor Congregational Church, 125 Townsend Ave. Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
