The First Congregational Church of Wiscasset will host a joint worship service with St. Philip’s Episcopal Church at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Eve, Nov. 21.

The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621 by the Pilgrims after the first successful harvest in the New World. The celebration has been reduced from a three day festival to one day with family and friends. Thanksgiving day can be a time to reflect on our blessings and to remember how God has been faithful in our lives.

Come and share a thankful service with your neighbors. A free will offering of money and non-perishable food items will be collected to benefit the special needs fund and the St. Philip’s Food Pantry.
