Get ready for a celebration of the human form with the Third Annual “What’s Nude in Boothbay Harbor?” a show featuring nude paintings, paper work, fiber, sculpture and photography. The show will take place at the Boothbay Region Art Foundation (BRAF) located at 1 Townsend Avenue, Boothbay Harbor.  The show will open on Thursday, Feb. 14  (Valentine’s Day!) and run through Saturday, Feb. 23.  An Opening Reception will be held Saturday, February 16 from 5-7 pm.  On Saturday, Feb. 23, there will be an artist’s potluck and pick up party from 5-7 p.m., also open to the public.  

“What's Nude in Boothbay Harbor?” offers something unique and fun to break up the long winter months and help celebrate Valentine's Day!  Plan to stay in Boothbay for the weekend at one of the local B&B's, dine in one of the region's new "foodie" restaurants, shop, or simply take in all the magic and beauty the Boothbay Harbor region has to offer. For more information on places to shop, dine and stay for the weekend go to the Chamber website at www.boothbayharbor.com.

Over 40 artists from the State of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Florida will exhibit their artistic interpretations of the beauty and shape of the human form. The Show will consist of a wide range of approaches representing the human body through realism, surrealism, impressionism, and abstraction.  Attendees are invited and encouraged to vote for their favorite piece through the “People’s Choice Award.”
