The Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop in downtown Damariscotta is now open on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through August.

According to Rosie Bensen, co-manager of the shop, “We usually open on Sundays in July and August, but, thanks to some generous volunteer shopkeepers, we’ll be open in June, too.”

The shop is open Monday through Wednesday, Friday and Saturday  9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The book shop, located on Back Street Landing, is a major fundraiser for Skidompha Public Library. All items are donated, all staff members are volunteers, and all funds support the library’s programs. Donations are accepted whenever the shop is open.
