Emma J. Squillante
Emma J. Squillante, 94, of Boothbay Harbor, Maine passed away peacefully July 8, 2019.
She was the daughter of Carl and Jennie Manna, born in Boston, Massachusetts on Jan. 2, 1925. Emma graduated from Dedham High School in 1942. She worked as a secretary for the State Street Bank in Boston, then for Wells Jewelry in Attleboro, Massachusetts. Emma’s greatest passion in life was her family and being a mother.
She was married for 60 years to the late Anthony R. Squillante. They lived in Attleboro, later moved to New Jersey for 10 years. They retired to their favorite spot, Boothbay Harbor, in 1983.
Emma loved caring for her grandchildren, knitting, playing the piano and organ. She played her organ while living at the Gregory Wing, St. Andrews Village. She was active in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Boothbay Harbor. She loved people and would make them feel at home.
She was predeceased by her husband Anthony.
Surviving Emma are her three children, daughters, Marie (Leo) Needler, of Mansfield, Massachusetts, Annette (Eric) Nager, of Boothbay, Maine, and son, Tony (Bev) Squillante, also of Boothbay; her grandchildren, George (Lisa) Chalifoux and their children, Sara and J.D., Nick (Jessica) Squillante and their daughter Alcina, Kara (Nick) Base, Sabrina (Addam) LeClair and their children Arianna and Deacon, Troy Nager (Jacqueline Garside) and Seth Nager.
A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Boothbay Harbor in the fall.
