Miss Wiscasset Diner has closed, according to a Facebook post a representative of the 762 Bath Road business made Sunday.
“I would like to thank all of our customers and friends we’ve made. It is after a very hard decision we are closing the Miss Wiscasset Diner,” Kelley Coady wrote.
According to the latest annual report on file with Maine’s Bureau of Corporations, Coady is the business’s treasurer, and John Suarez, president. The Wiscasset Newspaper is seeking their comments following Sunday’s announcement.
Coady’s Facebook post has drawn dozens of comments from well-wishers.
According to Wiscasset Newspaper files, the diner has had a series of runs with multiple operators since 1960.
