Craig L. Giles
Craig Leland Giles, 75, died July 23 of cancer at his home in Boothbay Harbor surrounded by his family.
He was born Feb. 15, 1944 to Leland and Ruth Bryenton Giles. He was married to Sarah Jones Giles.
Craig was drafted into the Army in 1966 and went to Vietnam, discharged with the Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, and Expert Rifle. Craig fished, lobstered and worked at various boatyards as a varnisher.
Craig liked hunting, going to camp, but most of all liked being home having a beer or two and a good home cooked meal.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, George and Louise Giles, parents, stepmother Muriel Giles, and stepson Philip Gregory.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah; son, Wyatt Wilde (Aubrey) of California; brother, Brent (Donna) of Boothbay; brother, Jay Lannie of York; stepchildren, Rachel Leeman (Christopher) of East Boothbay, and Stephanie Hawke (Andy) of Boothbay Harbor; grandchildren, Nicholas Hawke (Emilie), Lelia Hawke, Andrew Hawke, Hannah and Stephanie Leeman, Winsor and Juniper Wilde; and great-granddaughter, Eloise Sarah Hawke.
It was Craig’s desire that there be no service.
