Y-Arts presents ‘Alice in Wonderland’ at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens
The Boothbay YMCA and the CLC YMCA have teamed up with the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens to present a moving production of “Alice in Wonderland.” Audiences will follow the Alice as she chases the White Rabbit through the gardens. Y-Arts youth will perform the scenes from “Alice in Wonderland JR” at various locations through the Gardens. Each performance begins in the Bosarge Education Center and audiences follow the path to Wonderland from there.
Over the past few years, the partnership between the Boothbay YMCA and the CLC YMCA has grown to a beautiful collaboration for our youth performers. This has led to a creation of expanded partnerships beginning with the Lincoln Theater and now spreading to the Botanical Gardens. Y-Arts is very thankful to both these organizations for welcoming our youth with open arms and cheering them on along the way.
Performances are Oct. 4, 5 and 6 at 4:30 p.m. Make sure to arrive early to park and make your way to the Education Center. Tickets are $5 and are on sale at the Visitor Center located next to the parking lots. Audiences are invited to come early to enjoy the Gardens prior to the show, included in the price of the $5 ticket.
