Ophthalmology moves to Miles, welcomes new doctor in January
Due to its growing practice, Lincoln Medical Partners Ophthalmology moved to the Miles Professional Building on the Miles campus in November. In January, Kaitlyn Nolan, M.D. will be joined by Meredith Marcincin, D.O.
Dr. Marcincin is a board-certified cataract surgeon and comprehensive ophthalmologist. A native of the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania, Dr. Marcincin completed her undergraduate training at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. She went on to obtain her D.O. degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford. During her residency training in Erie, Pennsylvania, Dr. Marcincin was appointed chief resident and obtained her Master of Science in Medical Education from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following completion of her residency training, Dr. Marcincin served as an attending physician for the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine ophthalmology residency program.
Dr. Marcincin’s professional interests include studying the impact of ocular disease on quality of life. Outside of work, Dr. Marcincin enjoys training her German Shepherd, gardening, finding great deals at yard sales and spending time with her friends and family.
Dr. Marcincin and her husband Josh, a native of Bangor, welcomed their first child in July and are looking forward to returning to Maine.
