Lincoln County Republicans celebrate Lincoln Day
The Lincoln County Republican Committee hosted U.S. Senator Susan Collins, former Governor Paul LePage, and candidate for U.S. House of Representatives Dr. Jay Allen at a very well attended luncheon at the 1812 Barn in Bristol on Saturday, Feb. 22. Also attending the function were State Senator Dana Dow, State Rep. Jeff Hanley, and candidate for State Rep., Jeff Pierce, who mingled with constituents and heard their issues and concerns.
Republicans from around Lincoln County were treated to a fabulous and delicious luncheon buffet. Tables and people were dressed in the red, white and blue of our country’s flag. The spirit of the day was patriotism and the historical significance of our first Republican President, Abraham Lincoln.
Susan Collins informed the group of what is happening at the federal level that will affect our future here and throughout the country. Senator Collins had a message of support for President Trump’s economic policies that have the country and Maine back to work and profitable.
Governor LePage was greeted with enthusiasm and regaled the assembly with what needs to be happen for Maine to have a successful future. His love of Abe Lincoln’s history was evident in his approach as our governor.
Dr. Allen gave us a truly inspiring talk of how he intends to help Maine and the nation become successful, fiscally responsible, and supportive of Constitutional inalienable rights that our founders fought and died for.
All speakers were greeted with much enthusiasm and many bursts of rousing applause. Everyone came away from the luncheon feeling fired-up and much more positive about our country and our state.
