Marjorie L. Kluck
Marjorie Lee Kluck, 75, of Boothbay passed away peacefully at her home on April 30, 2020.
“Margie” was born in Boothbay to Edward Gross and Annie Brewer. She attended local schools and married Jack A. Kluck in 1967, and together they raised a family and shared their life together until his passing in 1984.
Margie worked locally as a seafood processor at Malpeque, the Freezer and Wotton’s Lobster.
She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. and was always quick to help people in need. She enjoyed reading, crafting with plastic canvas. An avid birdwatcher and gardener brought her joy. She enjoyed the challenge of the puzzles in the daily newspaper and often friends would call “her” for the answers.
Margie was predeceased by her parents, husband, Jack, sisters, Barbara, Nancy and Betty, brothers, Phil, Paul, Mike and Lawrence.
She is survived by daughters, Nancy (Larry) Peaslee of Edgecomb, and Loretta Raburn of Boothbay; grandsons, A.J. Peaslee of Westport Island and Douglas Steinmetz of Boothbay; granddaughers, Jackie Steinmetz and Jessica Raburn, both of Boothbay; sisters, Mary Nolon and Beatrice “Tinky” (Ron) Schumucker of Florida. Many nieces, nephews and friends were blessed to have Margie in their lives. She enjoyed every moment she spent with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
A celebration of Margie’s life will be held at a later date. A graveside service for the immediate family is planned.
