‘Loose ends’: Alna sets tentative date to hear Spinney appeal
Alna’s appeals board Friday night tentatively set a 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16 hearing on the planning board’s rejection of Jeff Spinney’s proposed ramp work at his Golden Ridge Road property on the Sheepscot River.
Meeting over Zoom, the appeals board determined the hearing will be administrative. So the panel can reverse the planning board’s decision only if it was “contrary to specific provisions of the (shoreland zoning) ordinance,” Appeals Board Chairman Alex Pugh said.
The panel said it needs Spinney to provide a sketch of the lot and needs the planning board or town to provide a packet on the matter. “I think there’s a lot of loose ends right now,” David Abbott said. Once the panel has the packet, members will have a better idea how long they will need to review it, David Buczkowski said.
Members planned to confirm the hearing date via email.
