Dianne A. Paine
Dianne Alice Paine, 57, was delivered into the arms of Jesus on a beautiful spring Tuesday morning, May 18, 2021, at home in Dresden, surrounded by her loving family. Dianne was born on Sept. 6, 1963, the daughter of Clyde and Alma (Clough) Stilphen, of Pittston Maine.
She graduated from Gardiner High School in 1981. She met Christopher L. Paine, her husband of 33 years at Bible Baptist Church in Wiscasset. Chris and Dianne were married on July 9, 1988, after a short engagement of six months. Chris and Dianne were given her grandparent’s house and a four acre cape in Dresden in 1988, where they raised their three children.
Dianne loved people. She was always giving her time, energy, and love to others, and she was a beautiful picture of God’s love to us. Dianne was a great cook for many years, pumpkin whoopie pies, cookies, and many sweets as well as loved to put on banquets and suppers for different occasions. She loved to craft and sew with friends, making bibs and table runners for the family. She enjoyed her vegetable gardens every summer.
She was also very active in many churches, including Bible Baptist Church, Lighthouse Baptist Church, and Truth Baptist Church. Dianne was a member of Truth Baptist Church of Jefferson, Maine. She was very active with the bus ministry in Wiscasset bringing kids to Sunday school and loved to lead the singing for the opening when all the bus kids arrived. Dianne taught kindergarten for 20+ years at Wiscasset Christian Academy teaching many kids to read and write. One of her students grew up to be the school administrator of WCA even while Dianne was still teaching there. She also cleaned cottages in the summer in the Boothbay Harbor region.
Her family cannot count the number of people she knew or touched but have treasured the many comments and stories from friends and family.
