Sen. King unveils new Senate website
U.S. Sen. Angus S. King Jr. (I-Maine) launched his new official Senate website May 30. The website features a variety of resources that enable visitors to stay up-to-date on King’s work in Washington and in Maine. It provides his voting record, a list of sponsored and co-sponsored legislation, his position on the issues, as well as important constituent service information. Visitors can also find directions for obtaining help with a federal agency, learn about grant opportunities, access student resources, and get tips on traveling to Washington, D.C.
The “Newsroom” serves as an important communications tool for members of the media and the general public. This section hosts press releases, news stories featuring King, e-newsletters, weekly recaps and recent videos, as well as photos and audio files.
The new website also provides constituent service hours and locations for King’s new community outreach initiative, “Your Government Your Neighborhood.” In order to make the federal government more accessible to a greater number of people across Maine, members of the Senator’s staff will schedule office hours in various communities throughout the state.
“I’m very excited to announce the launch of my new Senate website,” King said. “As my online office, it provides Mainers with a wide array of resources that I hope they’ll find helpful in navigating the federal government, taking advantage of my constituent services program, and staying in touch with me and my staff.”
